After protracted negotiations between the East Melbourne Group and the developers, the proposal to extend a two-storey block in Garden Avenue, East Melbourne, an enclave of interwar apartment blocks, has been resolved. Some modifications to the existing block have been agreed to, but the proposed extensions will not occur.

One of Australia’s more unusual Art Deco buildings is the Wimmera Livestock Bazaar in Hamilton St, Horsham. Built in 1936, it is a good example of the Moderne style with Egyptian influences.
