AUTUMN 2010 - Preservation News
One of Melbourne's most important commercial Moderne buildings, Yule House in Little Collins Street, was last year nominated to the Victorian State Heritage Register by ADMS and has been added to the Register. Many thanks to Simon Reeves at Built Heritage for preparing th submission (www.builtheritage.com.au).
WINTER 2009 - Preservation News
ADMS has nominated two of Melbourne's best interwar buildings for inclusion on the Victorian Heritage Register - Mitchell House, on the corner of Elizabeth St and Lonsdale St (Harry Norris, 1936) and Yule House, 309-311 Little Collins St (Oakley & Parkes, 1932). It has long been recognised that Moderne buildings are under-represented on the Register and it is our aim to nominate a number of buildings this year. It's not an easy process - the submission must include the architectural and general history of the building, assess its significance against a number of criteria and demonstrate that the building is of State significance.
