Events -	In June and July we have two exciting evenings for members. On June 25, we will relive the Montreal World Congress with stories and pictures from attending members then on 30th July we'll have a Shelley China Show and Tell. [more details]

News -	At the AGM in October, members decided overwhelmingly to change the name of the Society to the 'Art Deco and Modernism Society'. The 10th World Congress on Art Deco will be held in Montreal, Canada during May 2009 with pre-congress events in Toronto and a post-congress visit to Quebec City. artdecomontreal.com/congress/en/.

Preservation -

The Myer Corporation and Colonial First State, have lodged an application for the demolition of Lonsdale House.

The Adelaide chapter of ADMS is engaged in a battle to ensure the preservation of the Chelsea Cinema in Kensington. [more details]
